Head of Department
The department has headed by Mr. Devbrat Kumar Tiwary, a dedicated and enthusiastic educator with four years of teaching and departmental leadership experience, currently serving as the Head of the Electrical and electronics Engineering Department at J.P Institute of Technology. As HOD, my objective is to create a learner centered environment that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical applications, equipping students with the skills and confidence required to thrive in the dynamic field of electrical engineering.
I hold a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bakhtiyarpur College of engineering, AKU (PATNA) and have demonstrated consistent dedication to student development, academic leadership, and innovative teaching practices.
I have been leading the Electrical and electronics Engineering Department at J.P Institute of technology Since may 2025. I specialize in Electrical Machine ,Power Electronics, Power System, Digital Electronics etc.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department was set up with a vision of producing high quality technical manpower needed by today’s electricaland Electronics sector. To accomplish its goals the department has been imparting quality education. Attempts are made to optimize research and improve everything constantly. Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department integrates scientific principles with practically oriented research , providing systems and process that themselves create ways of acquiring new knowledge. The Department has been constantly encouraging its students to engage in extracurricular and co-curricular activities essential for development, nurturing of team spirit and developing organizational skills.
The focus of the department is to produce quality and professional engineers to cater the needs of the society. We emphasis team work to give opportunity to each student to benefit from the ideas and innovations from the faculty as well as peers.

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at J.P. Institute of technology offers a vibrant atmosphere for learning in the field of Electrical and Electronics Engineering since 2025 with current intake of 30. The area of Electrical engineering helps student to enhance his or her capability to think for industry society & nation in large. Department is well equipped with lab to trained the students to advance their theoretical knowledge and sound practices of the profession.
The dedicated staff members have sound knowledge in emerging areas of Electrical and allied engineering domains. The breadth and depth of the research interests of the academic staff ensures a high standard of lecture courses and provides excellent opportunities for challenging and stimulating final year projects. Electrical and Electronics Engineering is one of the core fields of engineering so it is always evergreen in terms of scope and job prospects.
